Idle Ridge Car Museum celebrates the life and spirit of Jim Feneis — a St. Cloud entrepreneur whose love of cars, history, and people turned a dream into a lasting tribute.
A Vision
That Became
a Place
Jim Feneis was a builder, a storyteller, and a man who saw possibility in everything. He spent decades shaping his family’s businesses — East Side Oil, First Fuel Bank, and Integrity Engineering. But Idle Ridge was the dream that brought it all together. He once stood on this ridge and said, “Someday, if I work really hard, I’ll have all my cars idling up here.”
Today, that vision lives on through Idle Ridge Car Museum — a space filled with the cars, motorcycles, and local relics that meant something to Jim.
More Than a Museum
A Legacy in Motion
From untouched classics to family keepsakes, every piece at Idle Ridge reflects part of Jim’s journey. His collection includes:
- Original-condition vehicles, preserved with care.
- His father’s and mother’s last cars.
- Local relics like the Klein Oldsmobile and Herberger’s signs.
- Hand-picked motorcycles and artifacts from St. Cloud’s history.
“He worked his whole life and saved for this place. Everything in here meant something to him.”
— A close friend of Jim
